In addition to assisting with prosecuting the perpetrators, this can also make it possible to address the security problem that allowed them to get through the fence. For example, having a dumpster that is too close to the fence may allow them to climb over it, or a tree that has branches hanging over the fence may allow them to gain access to the property in this way.
